Kathryn is no stranger to Rotary. This third generation Rotarian is very familiar with the history of the club and all the good it has done and is still doing in her community, the region, the state, nation and the world. She was born and raised in Americus, but left for Oxford, Mississippi, with a D1 scholarship to play golf for Ole Miss. Kathryn swore after graduating high school from Southland Academy that she would never move back to Americus or become a lawyer. Fast forward some years later and she's back as a partner in the law firm of Gatewood, Skipper, Rambo and Moore. She received her juris doctorate from Ole Miss, met her husband Brent Moore (also an Ole Miss Rebel) while in Oxford, and they moved back to raise their daughter Albright. She and Brent are now integral members of the community...she, a corporate lawyer, and he, a science teacher and basketball coach in the Schley County School System. Did we mention that Brent was a former Interact member in his high school in Mississippi? Both are incredible people and servant leaders and we are so fortunate to have them both in Americus. We look forward to Kathryn's leadership of our club and wish her all the best as she takes us to the next level!
