Wireless Surveillance Cameras for Law Enforcement

Americus Rotary was able to secure a District 6900 grant to help purchase 14 security cameras and equally disburse those cameras to the Americus Police and The Sumter County Sheriffs Office. With a shortage of officers, the cameras will assist law enforcement with monitoring troublesome areas in high-risk neighborhoods. Due to security and the need for discretion, the club was unable to install the cameras; however, will work with both APD and Sheriff's office to provide neighborhood clean-up and outreach projects.
